Students learn the physiology and mechanics of boot fitting using state of the art machinery and advanced techniques to diagnose, evaluate and fabricate solutions to boot-fitting issues. This course is preparing students for professional work in a boot fitting environment or lies the foundation to starting a boot fitting business.

  • Psychology of diagnosing boot-fitting issues
  • Biomechanics of clients
  • Provide stance balancing
  • Basic and advanced boot repair including liners & shells
  • Multiple insole fabrication
  • Liner construction and molding
  • Shop layout and safety concerns

In addition to understanding client biometrics, diagnose various boot fitting issues in order to correctly fit a variety of ski/snowboard boots. Students understand client interaction in the retail world to successfully meet clients demands.
