In this newsletter we will highlight our Work-For-Stay program, a unique collaboration we have with HI Hostel in Whistler. This unique collaboration enables students who are accepted are able to work for their stay in the hostel.

Work for Stay

The accommodation partnership between Whistler Adventure School and HI Hostel through the Work-For-Stay program offers several benefits for students. This program is tailored to prioritize WAS students, significantly reducing the stress of finding both accommodation and employment during their initial months. Students are encouraged to apply approximately three months prior to their arrival.

The key benefits of participating in the HI Hostel Work-For-Stay program include opportunities to meet and befriend young people from around the globe, access to excellent facilities, and enjoying a prime location.

The Marketing & Media Manager Program at Whistler Adventure School is a comprehensive one-year diploma course designed for individuals interested in the fields of marketing and media. The program includes seven 45-hour courses covering topics:

  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Photo Editing
  • Videography Editing
  • Digital marketing
  • Social media
  • Event planning

These course are complemented by a co-op work placement. It prepares students for various roles such as Marketing Coordinator, Social Media Specialist, and Events Coordinator. The curriculum aims to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, emphasizing current industry practices.
