Sam McDonald

Sam has modified almost every ski boot on the market, punched more shells, and molded more custom boots than anyone else in Whistler. He has spent the last 15 years working through the Surefoot ranks until being given his own flagship store in the heart of Whistler. His experience in ski boot modification is only matched by his knowledge of the ski boot business.

This knowledge of wholesaling, ordering, retailing, staffing, costing, customer service, and passion for people made him our number one choice to teach our boot fitting course. Sam has a second home away from his shop in the backs bowls of Blackcomb or the steep chutes on Whistler. In the summer the skis are packed away briefly and that mountain itch is scratched with days mountain biking in the bike park. Sam’s happy demeanour, easy going personality and underlying mountain passion make him a perfect Whistler fit. We welcome Sam to WAS.
