At Whistler Adventure School we empower students by teaching them what they need to know and why. Let’s teach the next generation the skills to succeed. Our Retail Manufacturing Manager Diploma is a popular program because everything taught is focused on the skills needed to assess situations and if the students don’t know the answer when they graduate, they have the contacts and know how to figure it out. Isn’t that what life’s about. Figuring it all out!
The Retail Manufacturing Manager Diploma, is made by educators, ski instructors, life savers, you name it, if it has adventure we have thought about. Students who are ready to jump into life adventures with two feet are the students that will feel at home here.

WAS is located in the heart of one of North America’s top resorts offering spectacular skiing, biking and climbing terrain!
Our programs are geared to the student who is by nature adventurous, but don’t let that stop you. Maybe you just haven’t had the opportunity.
This program was created to teach students the core skills they need to work anywhere in the world. Students can expect to learn practical skills that will provide them with a diploma and certifications that will enable them to start their career with confidence and knowledge.
Skiing. Snowboarding. Passion.
In the winter, students learn how to build their own skis or snowboard, and then learn to professionally tune your skis and snowboard! Combine this with an intensive boot fitting course and you are set to work winters at any ski resort!
Biking. Work Experience.
In the summer, students take a bicycle mechanic course that is internationally recognized with Cytech certification, offered through Specialized Bikes Canada! This in-depth course alone will open up career opportunities for any student interested in pursuing a career in bicycle mechanics or repairs. Students will also learn how to create an in-depth Business Plan to educate them on the potential opportunities available in business and the entrepreneurial process.
In the Retail Manufacturing Program, students are required to complete a co-op placement enabling them to use their newly developed skills while gaining valuable experience and making the connections to pursue their dream career.
Whistler Adventure School is an accredited post-secondary career school focused on outdoor sports learning in Whistler. Our programs dovetail naturally into the Whistler community offering opportunities for students to be involved with world-class events, as well as diverse employment opportunities.
Our career school credentials enables Canadians with RESP’s to use these towards their education fees. International students are offered the ability to apply for a visa to work and study in Canada if required.
Our vibrant Whistler community attracts instructors who are passionate about their career and love to teach what they’ve learned. This combined with our small classrooms and high-tech equipment creates a secure foundation for students to launch their careers doing what they love!
